As part of Small Steps curriculum we provide this adapted Yoga Program for pre-school children.

This class is been given by Zaheeda Jiwan who is a Certified Kids Yoga Teacher and currently teaches in various schools across York Region.

 Zaheeda's clasess are an educational and fun experience for children. Each class is structured to spark creativity in her students through role-plays, journeys and internal reflection on positive attitudes. Props such as ribbons, scarves, bean bags, stuffed animals, etc. are used to teach children effective breathing techniques, traditional yoga poses and the importance of relaxation or quiet time.

Some benefits of the Yoga " Movement and Stretching Program" are:

- Improves strength, flexibility & balance

- Improves concentration skills allowing children to focus

- Enhances self-esteem

- Children learn how to comedown and breathe

- Increases Daily Physical Activity
